Julien Cabay
Legal aspects - Research - Teaching
Julien is the co-creator and current director of JurisLab. As full professor holding the Chair of Law of Intellectual Creations and Innovations at the Faculty of Law of ULB, he is profoundly rethinking teaching and research in these fields using Fab Lab resources and methods. Julien is also a musician and associate professor/researcher in other universities in Belgium and abroad.
Laurent Catoire
HR - Mediation - Governance
A mechanical and electrical engineer, he has been a member of the Automatic Control and System Analysis Service at ULB since 1997. Since 2016, he also serves as technical director at the Brussels Polytechnic School. He is mainly interested in the design and control of pilot processes for teaching and research purposes and project-based learning.
Mélanie Chillaud
Fab Lab Coordinator - Community - Safety - Conviviality
New coordinator of Fab Lab ULB, Mélanie is a versatile person who loves learning. She has been a materials chemistry engineer, project manager in the pharmaceutical sector, and textile designer-artist. During the latter experience, she came to prototype innovative textiles at the ULB Fab Lab. Today, she wants to put her knowledge and experience at the service of others: teaching them to question, explore, and collaborate.

Fab Academy Instructor - International Network - Communication / Website
Physicist at the Royal Belgian Meteorological Institute, Nicolas enjoys combining theory and practice. Liaison for the international Fab Labs network, he has participated in Fab Academy for several years as an instructor. He is also the developer of our website deployment system.

Professor in the Faculty of Sciences, he is the founder of Frugal Lab and co-founder of STEAM Lab at Fab Lab ULB.
